PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE

Welcome to the Whonnock Elementary School Website. We hope that you will find the content informative. We are all extremely proud of our school and I'm certain that you'll notice this pride by reading our School Newsletters and the other content contained on this site. A reminder that we typically issue School Newsletters on the first Thursday of each month and we endeavor to post a copy on our website the same day.

Learning doesn’t stop, or only happen, at schools. Learning is a life long endeavour that includes all that we do and experience including the things we read.  I encourage families to get out and learn in new environments filled with experiences. Walk the Sea Wall. Visit the Art Gallery. Walk the Pier in White Rock, Visit Maple Ridge Park (and/or other parks) go into Vancouver, go for a walk.  Expanding our experiences brings context to what we read and experience in the classrooms.  It broadens our horizons and rounds our perspectives.

In closing I’d just like to say my door is always open and visitors welcome.
It is the community feel here at Whonnock that makes it the greatest place on earth.

Thank you for taking the time to view our site.

Alan Millar
Principal
